Ilan Posner joined Becket as a Legal Fellow for the Fall of 2022. He is currently finishing his last semester at Georgetown Law school where he is enrolled as a part-time student.

Before joining Becket, Ilan was a Summer Associate in the D.C. office of Kirkland & Ellis. Before that, he spent four years working on the Hill for Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska. Serving as the Senator’s Policy & Research Aide, Ilan worked on legislative initiatives in higher education and the workforce. He also assisted with the Senator’s responsibilities on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

In law school, Ilan was a senior staff member on the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy and a Bradley Fellow at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution. Next year, he will be clerking for the Honorable Tim Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, followed by the Honorable Don Willett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Ilan grew up in Australia and spent three years living in Israel where he served in the Israeli Defense Force.
